Siobhan Rogers advises “look after your body – make sure your chair is comfy, sewing machine is at the right height & cutting bench is high! So you don’t hurt your back. Use sharp rotary cutters to save your neck and shoulders.
On that note Look after your machine. Sharp needles & dusting/ oiling. Preparation is key. And if you are doing lots of sewing get lots of bobbins ready to go.

I am lucky to have met my fellow Australian, at home and market. I was lucky enough to hold up the quilts from her book – Block, Surprisingly Simple Quilts, at the schoolhouse introducing her book. I drew my breath at each quilt as I held it admiring its colour and design. The backs even told a story, thoughtfully pieced to complete the quilt.
