Vanessa Goertzen “When life is scrappy, make a quilt”.
I first meet Vanessa when we were setting up our booths in the Moda area at the trade show . She had her first fabric line and the most adorable display of projects with it, including a super cute tent for kids! Since that first trade show we look forward to having time to catch up at each one. I love her fabric lines and her designs. Some of the fabrics our designers used for the Splendid Sampler blocks are from Vanessa’s lines.
Kari’s motto is ‘Try it….you might like it! For example, Y-seams are NOT difficult and the fun shapes add a WOW factor to a quilt’ click to a tutorial on how to make her block
Kari comes from a teaching background, home-ec to be exact! That energy to learn and to teach shows in everything she does. I interviewed Kari for the Auril Designer of the Month Program… Read my Aurifil Interview
