St Patrick’s Day is upon us again and what better way to celebrate than to make a little clover block. The name shamrock comes from Irish seamróg [ˈʃamˠɾˠoːɡ], which is the diminutive of the Irish word for clover (seamair) and means simply “little clover” or “young clover”.
(Did you know that St Patrick drove all the snakes out of Ireland? Unfortunately, they ended up in Australia.)

Sew four 6″ blocks together to make a 12″ block ….
Sew four 12″ blocks together, add a border and you have a St Patricks Day table topper.
