I’m one half of the Design team who created ‘The Splendid Sampler’ project. I’m Pat Sloan and my other half is Jane Davidson who will say hello tomorrow!

Jane and I want to introduce ourselves, as we can get to know you and you get to know us! I’ll start out with what my ‘about’ page says…
I have a passion for creating and quilts are my medium.
I’m quilt designer and book author, radio/podcast show host and fabric designer Pat Sloan! Thank you for stopping in, I can’t wait to get to know you.
I started sewing as a child (love those doll clothes!) and I continued to sew clothing for myself until I discovered quilting. I’ve been quilting now for over 20 years. But I made my first ‘first quilt’ way before that! Go HERE to read about it
I like to call myself a ‘serial’ quilter. I have made over 600 quilts so far, and I have no intention of stopping.
I’ve written 32 quilt books, and right now I’m finishing number 33, with number 34 and 35 planned.. see.. I just.. can’t .. stop!
The latest book will teach you a ton of ways to create quilts with triangles, it’s a class in a book with step by step photos and a reference guide.
I’ve been designing fabric for about 12 years.. my lastest Moda Line is ‘Hometown Girl’ which will be arriving in quilt shops Feb 2016.. woohoo!
These are the quilts I designed to go with them. The sampler is Hometown Charm, Letters from Home, and my Coneflower banner!
My Moda fabrics are in Cotton.. where I always have a word print!
And I have batiks for each line too! I adore my cream batiks, so hard to find, right?
I’ve also been hosting a FREE Mystery Block of the Month, sponsored by FreeQuiltPatterns.info This is my January block, you can join right in! They are 16″ blocks.. just a tiny bit bigger than The Splendid Sampler blocks.

I started my 6th year of Weekly Quilting Podcast. This is actually a LIVE Internet Radio show that is recorded.. so much FUN!

I’ve been working with Aurifil thread as a designer for about 10 years. They really do make the BEST thread!
I am the organizer and Host of the monthly Aurifil Designer project. I interview a designer and we do either a block, or last year we did a mini quilt!
